Submission information
General provisions
- The Conference offers three types of submission: Abstract, Research article e Article for Special Issue Biomass & Bioenergy;
- Abstracts and Research articles will be evaluated by the Committee as to their potential for publication in the Proceedings of the event. The Article for Special Issue Biomass & Bioenergy selected by the Committee will be forwarded to the journal's submission process;
- Articles for Special Issue Biomass & Bioenergy that are not selected by the Committee for submission to the journal will have the possibility of being published in the Proceedings of the event as a Research article. Authors will be consulted in advance as to whether this option has been accepted;
- Research articles that are not selected by the Committee will still have their abstracts published in the Proceedings of the event. All the abstracts of the Article for Special Issue Biomass & Bioenergy will be published in the Proceedings of the event;
- Only papers with paid registration will be evaluated by the Committee;
- Up to two (02) papers may be submitted per registration;
- There is no maximum number of authors per paper;
- All papers will be presented as posters. The oral presentation will be made up of papers selected by the Committee after evaluating all off the papers submitted. The authors responsible for the papers selected for oral presentation will be notified in advance;
- Abstracts information, including the text itself, will be submitted directly through the system. Research articles and Articles for Special Issue Biomass & Bioenergy, on the other hand, must be submitted in .doc / .docx format;
- Papers must be submitted in English;
- The best papers will be awarded prizes at the end of the event.
Deadline for submission
- The deadline for submitting Article for Special Issue Biomass & Bioenergy is April 30th, 2025.
- The deadline for submitting Abstract and Research article is July 31st, 2025.
Formatting guidelines for papers
- Abstracts must be sent directly through the system;
- The text of the abstract must be limited to 250 words and include the introduction, objective, methodology, results, discussion and conclusion sections;
- The abstract must contain three to five keywords;
- The abstract must not contain figures, tables or bibliographical references;
- Research articles and Articles for Special Issue Biomass & Bioenergy must follow the formatting described by the Biomass & Bioenergy Journal, in the Guide for authors section available at https://www.sciencedirect.com/journal/biomass-and-bioenergy/publish/guide-for-authors.
Formatting guidelines for posters
- Posters must follow the available template. The Committee will be responsible for printing.

Oral presentation formatting
- The oral presentation must follow the available template. The author must pay attention to the length of the content. Each presentation will take a maximum of 10 minutes (plus 2 ~ 3 minutes for questions).
